Hillsboro United Methodist Church

The Hillsboro United Methodist Church voted in November 2023 to leave the United Methodist denomination due to philosophical and theological differences.

The final decision to separate was made at the 2024 New England Annual Conference in June when delegates voted to ratify this decision.

Pastor Paul O’Neil retired on June 30th, 2024 which was also the final service of the Hillsboro United Methodist Church.

On July 7th, 2024, the newly formed Hillsboro Methodist Church of the Global Methodist Church denomination held its first service in the same church location and we are happy to see you there or answer any questions that you may have.

A sister church, the Henniker Area Christian Fellowship was formed as an offshoot of the Hillsboro United Methodist Church. It also had its first service on July 7th at the Henniker Community Center which is the location of the old Henniker United Methodist Church. The focus of this fellowship is to reach the students of New England College for the gospel.
